Dickson Campus
Community Groups

From the very beginning Cross Point Church has been a church that cherishes authentic community. Our goal is to have approximately 80% of our church in a community group. That’s a big goal, but it’s one we believe is worth striving to achieve because community groups provide a place to foster genuine, transparent relationships. Community groups play an essential role in the care and development of a Christ-follower. It’s the environment where sustained life change occurs.
Community groups usually consist of 4 to 12 people who gather together on a regular basis to study God’s word and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It’s also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don’t show up. Most groups meet in homes; however, groups can meet anywhere from office buildings to comfortable cafes.
Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff or elders to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. That’s why we place such a high premium on group life. It’s how we minister effectively at Cross Point Church.
