Cross Point Church is truly a volunteer organization of individuals committed to carrying out our vision to be a community of believers radically devoted to Christ, irrevocably committed to one another and relentlessly dedicated to reaching those outside God’s family with the Gospel of Christ.

Strategic service is essential to seeing this vision become a reality. At Cross Point Church we value the potential God has placed in each individual and we want to help you discover God’s design for your life and your contribution to His kingdom.

I would like to volunteer for the First Impressions Ministry in the following areas:

First Impressions

The First Impressions team provides a friendly atmosphere by populating the lobby and entryways with warm, welcoming and caring faces that provide the personal touch to our church. Our mission is to make everyone who attends Cross Point Church feel valued.

  • Service Greeters

    Our greeters serve one Sunday per month for all three morning services OR twice a month for one service in the morning or evening. They welcome people at the doors, pass out programs and assist with collecting the offering during the service.

  • Connecting Points

    Assist regular attendees and guests in taking their next steps at Cross Point by providing information and answering questions at the Connecting Points desk one Sunday per month.

  • Café Team

    Be the ultimate host/hostess by preparing coffee and assisting Café guests one Sunday per month.

  • Resource Center

    Duplicate tapes and CDs from each service one Sunday per month and assist guests who visit the Resource Center.

  • Office Volunteer

    Be available to help behind the scenes during the week assisting with clerical and organizational projects and helping assemble mailings as needed.

  • Parking Volunteer

    Assist guests in finding parking and provide rides for those parked far away on the Shuttle Cart.

  • Security

    Help maintain a safe environment at Cross Point by monitoring the campus one Sunday a month.

I would like to volunteer for Kidz World in the following areas:

Kidz World

Kidz World is the place where kids learn about God in a safe, loving and fun environment. Kidz World is a small group environment for infants – 5th graders to attend while adults are attending the main worship service. Our mission is to make children feel loved and valued while they grow into a radically devoted relationship with God!

  • Greeters

    Our greeters serve at one of our 4 services (8:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:45 AM or 6:00 PM) every Sunday. They welcome kids coming into Kidz World, sign them in for their classes and help new families find their way around campus.

    • Nursery Attendants

    Love on our babies and provide a safe place for them every other Sunday for one service.

    • Small Group Leaders

    Prepare and teach the lesson to your small group of 6-8 children every Sunday for one service.

    • Assistants

    Assist small group leaders.

    • Prep Team

    This team of volunteers works throughout the week to prepare the materials for Kidz World. Duties vary and schedules are very flexible.

    • Security

    This team of volunteers helps provide a safe and secure environment by monitoring the hallways and doors during services.

    • Hospitality Team

    This team of volunteers is in charge of the Kidz World Volunteer Hospitality room. They are responsible for organizing refreshments, making coffee, and creating an environment where volunteers can refresh and recharge before and after serving.

At Cross Point Church, we’re committed to helping our students live the best possible kind of lives—the one God created them for—and we know that cannot happen without fantastic volunteers working with our students. There are several serving and ministry opportunities with our students through: mentoring, caring, and leading; media, music, and production; teaching, worship, and just good ole’ crazy fun!

A leader’s consistent presence in body, soul, and spirit is vital to the success of our weekly Wednesday gathering and to the overall student ministry programming. That’s why we ask for a commitment of an entire school year [Aug-May]. Our students deserve leaders they can count on to be present.

I would like to volunteer for the Production Team in the following area:

Production Team

The Production Team consists of people who enjoy using their technical and creative abilities to engage our church in a vibrant and relevant way each week. For most teams, experience or basic knowledge is an advantage but certainly not a requirement.

  • Graphic & Web Designers

    Volunteers with skills or experience in graphic or web design.

  • Videographers

    Film, photography, and video production volunteers are utilized for various events and services.

  • Multi-Media Techs

    Drive the visual and technical content at Sunday services and special events.

  • Lighting Techs

    Operate and help maintain the lighting requirements at Sunday services and various programs.

  • Stage Manager

    A “behind the scenes” position that supports all the stage production at our weekend services.

  • Sound Engineers

    A position at any skill level that runs sound at various programs including Sunday services, KidStuff, and CHARGE.

I would like to volunteer for the Impact Ministry in the following area:

Impact Ministry

The Impact Ministry is composed of several care-giving teams that are here to serve our church body and others in our local community. Impact volunteers care about you and your loved ones’ needs, hopes and hearts. We are here to pray with you, care for you, assist you, laugh with you and sometimes cry with you.

  • Notes & Cards Team

    We put smiles on people’s faces by simply sending uplifting hand-written cards to those who have just welcomed a child or have experienced a loss or a life-changing transition.

  • Food Teams

    Through meals, we hope to support people and families who have suffered an unexpected loss, are dealing with a crisis, or are faced with time in the hospital from sickness or pregnancy.

  • Great Expectations

    Reach out to expecting moms, potential adoptive parents and those dealing with challenges pregnancy and fertility issues through prayer showers, encouragement, and other forms of support.

Worship Team

There are opportunities for experienced vocalists or musicians with a heart for worship in KidStuff, Charge Student Ministry, and Sunday worship services. If you are interested in serving on one of these teams, please fill out a Worship Team Application (which can be found at Connecting Points) and Jarrod (Music Director) or Miranda (Creative Arts Coordinator) will contact you about auditions.
