SERVING SATURDAY RECAP
We had another successful Serving Saturday event on February 27th. We were able to partner with over 15 ministries in Nashville and the surrounding areas including: Lighthouse, Safe Haven Family Shelter, Mending Hearts, Preston Taylor, the Youth Encouragement Services and Tent City.
Over 600 people came out to help with service projects around the community including painting, flooring, construction and cleaning. Volunteers also gave haircuts and did make-up and manicures for various ministries and the Cross Point youth group spent the day helping at Preston Taylor and Y.E.S. The kids from Preston Taylor and Y.E.S. also joined us for lunch and a short program in the gym. Thanks to our wonderful Cross Point cooks, we were able to feast on three delicious, full-roasted hogs. The hog meal, head-and-all, was a great way to end the day!
